Another sublime piece of music.
Even though Mahler's 7th is my favorite of his symphonies, the Adagietto from the 5th is perfectly exquisite.

This performance is conducted by Bruno Walter, who, as a young man, was Mahler's assistant. The photos in this YouTube clip are of Mahler and Walter.
