I haven't listened to many of the volunteer readers, but they seem to be fine.
(It's NOT going to be Alexander Scourby reading the Bible, though...)
LibriVox: free audiobooks
LibriVox volunteers record chapters of books in the public domain and
release the audio files back onto the net. Our goal is to make all
public domain books available as free audio books.
