Art, Life, and Beauty.
Concepts create idols; only wonder grasps anything. - St Gregory of Nyssa
Manliness cannot be reduced to a matter of style -- and conflating matters of style with manly character is an affront to the latter.
Mr. Porretto, thank you for taking the time to visit my little blog.I think you misunderstand the reason I posted this. As I am newly married (and in my mid-50s) I have never had the opportunity to dress a man or know men's clothing: inseams and neck sizes and collar types and cuffs, and... all the rest. So, seeing this was of interest to me.My husband is a manly man, and can dress "well" when he chooses. However, I would never conflate his style with his sterling character. Neither do I judge a man's character solely by how he dresses. That being said, how any person dresses can say something about his or her character.
