I had the distinct honor to be able to travel to the consecration of Archimandrite Matthias, raised to the dignity of Bishop. This was a new experience, I have never witnessed a consecration or ordination (of a priest) before. The consecration took place at Christ the Savior Orthodox Church, in Chicago, on April 30, 2011.
A wonderful, very long occasion. The perfect way to bring Bright Week to a close.
